Fani Nigeria Limited is an indigenous, multi-disciplinary building construction and engineering firm. Incorporated on 10 November 1981 and registered under RC 43063, we plan and carry out building, civil and infrastructure projects for government bodies, institutions, corporate organisations and private clients.
Fani Nigeria Limited was established as a building construction and engineering firm and was incorporated in Nigeria on 10 November 1981 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act. Our company registration number is RC 43063. Since then we have worked as a practice that brings architecture, civil and structural engineering, quantity surveying, and electrical and mechanical services together, so that a client can deal with one firm from the first sketch to the handing-over of a finished building.
We are headquartered in Maiduguri, Borno State, and we also maintain a presence in Abuja, Taraba and Kaduna. Our shareholders and staff are Nigerian professionals who are committed to construction that is of good quality, delivered on time and fit for the purpose it was built for. Over the years our work has included housing, institutional and educational buildings, health facilities, military and office accommodation, commercial buildings and civil works such as culverts and reinforced concrete structures.
The company grew out of the enterprise of the late Hajia Falmata Mani (1946–2009), a farmer, entrepreneur and public servant from Borno State whose work in agriculture and general contracting helped to establish Fani Nigeria Limited as part of her family’s commitment to enterprise and service. You can read more about her life on our Legacy page. Today the company is led by Muhammed M. Kyari, who serves as Chairman, Chief Executive and Managing Director.
For more than forty years the firm has operated continuously across Northern Nigeria. That long period of operation has taught us practical lessons that we apply to every new job: confirm the brief and the budget before work starts, understand the ground conditions on the site, buy and store materials carefully, supervise the works closely and communicate honestly with the client when conditions change.

Fani Nigeria Limited brings together architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, geologists and site professionals. Leadership of the company rests with Muhammed M. Kyari (FNISET, FIMC, FIMS, FICRPC, MNEAC, MNISET), Chairman, Chief Executive and Managing Director, who has led the firm in the delivery of housing, institutional and infrastructure works for state governments, federal institutions, the ICRC and private clients. Reliable mobilisation matters on construction sites, particularly in places where materials must travel long distances. The company operates its own tippers, tankers, light vehicles and site equipment, which lets us move materials and people to site without depending entirely on hired transport.
We share practical guidance for people planning to build on our blog.
